		<description>I&#039;m a fan of the design. There are a large number of high volume applications that can be built with this model. However, I am concerned that implementation details are not readily available to the developer community. I think a developer should generally understand how the system they are using works.

I think the recent service interruptions are just growing pains. Thankfully, there is someone to call. :)

		<description>Queue processing has resumed. Failures were the result of timeouts and malformed responses from SimpleDB. We are working with Amazon to resolve the problem. In addition, we have integrated some defensive coding to minimize the impact of these problems in the future.
